Ja està disponible la memòria del nostre torneig anual. Estem molt satisfets de la organització que hem fet i la diferència amb el torneig de l’any anterior és considerable. Tot i així encara esperem superar-nos de cara al proper any.

The final against les parisiens Courants d’R was high Touch. An exciting game won by the orange people (5-1) closed a frenetic afternoon of Touch in the city of Esplugues de Llobregat.

HOW TO GET TO THE FIELD
To get to the field by Public Transport, take first the Metro to the Station L3 Maria Cristina and then take there the TRAM. All lines (T1,T2,T3) drive to the field in about 10 minutes. Tram Station to leave is Ca N’ Oliveres ( Walk five minutes to access the field ). See map below.
Warning: METRO Station L5 Can Vidalet is disabled!!
Dinner at Freeway Restaurant
Freeway Restaurant is at Avenida Madrid 95 (Metro Station L5 Badal). At the moment it is impossible to access L5 from CanVidalet due to works. There’s a 30 minute walk from the field, or alternatively you may take the Tram back to L3 and then change to L5 to get to Badal.

The Board of the Federation of International Touch (FIT) has granted Associate Membership to the Associació Catalana de Touch (ACT), the Catalan Touch Association.
The ACT, led by its President, Mr. Olivier Guitart, introducer of Touch in Catalonia back in 2004, is an entity formed by members of the Catalan Federation of Rugby (FCR), the Rugby League Catalan Association (ACRL) and our club, Touch Barcelona-AETRC, the only team officially declared to play Touch in Catalonia at the moment.
The main objective of the ACT is to develop the sport of Touch in Catalonia and make it popular inside this soccer-mad country. Needless to say that the rest of the Nations and regions of the Spanish State will count on full ACT support.
Some months ago, Dennis Coffey, FIT Secretary General came to Barcelona, invited by the ACT, to meet different Sport and Political authorities.
One of the goals of that visit was to establish a collaboration between the FCR and the ACT, with FIT approval, to undertake the introduction of Touch into the Catalan Public Schools. The FCR, through its General Manager, Juan José Hernandez, expressed to Mr. Coffey their strong determination to use Touch as a vehicular sport to introduce those values and sportiveness of Rugby in the public schoolar system, given the simplicity and low risk of injuries Touch has.
The FCR and ACT will sign an agreement and will organize a FIT compliant presentation to show the sport to Rugby coaches and educators to start with, before the Level 1/Level 2 coach courses next year.
Moreover, Dennis Coffey met the President and Vice-President of the Plataforma Pro-Seleccions Esportives Catalanes (Platform Pro Catalan Sports National Teams), the Catalan Civil organization that promotes Catalan Sportive National Federations. Both expressed to Mr. Coffey their support to the ACT as the entity capable of managing and promoting the future Catalan Touch official competitions.
Finally, there was a short meeting in the Parliament of Catalonia with the MH President del Parlament, Ernest Benach i Pascual, where it was expressed the governmental support that this newborn project already has.

El equipo de Touch Barcelona estuvo en la Fiesta de los Rugbys de Toulouse el pasado fin de semana.
Cuatro de los mejores equipos de Francia se reunian en Blagnac para el torneo de Touch: Bordeaux, Toulouse, Paris y un combinado entre Prades(Montpellier) y Grenoble.
Un grupo de Pros de rugby de las Islas del Pacifico se encontraban en Blagnac y decidieron echarnos una mano para igualar un poco el nivel. Aunque algunos no conocian muy bien las normas del Touch, lo compensaban con una capacidad de cambios de pie y una velocidad que supera todo lo visto en un campo de Touch hasta ahora, verdaderos bailarines, que se movian como el viento.
Los resultados fueron muy positivos. Se ganó el primer partido contra Bordeaux y se empató el siguiente con Prades. Nuestra primera victoria y primer empate en partidos oficiales!
Barbara (Wing), una de nuestras mejores jugadoras consiguió el Touchdown del empate ante Prades, en una jugada en la que participaron todos los jugadores y jugadoras.
Posteriormente, en el desquite con Bordeaux por el tercer y cuarto puesto, el cansancio nos acosaba y no fue nada fácil. No se pudo ganar , pero la sensación global fue muy positiva.
Kongo (Middle), alma mater del equipo y vicepresidente de Touch Barcelona, declaraba que el equipo ha mejorado mucho en defensa y buena prueba de ello és que, a excepción del match con Paris —uno de los mejores equipos de Europa— no hubo ningun resultado excesivo en contra.
Waysen (Middle), la gacela peluda; el canario del equipo, expresaba su felicidad no pudiendo ver el lado malo de este desplazamiento. Al final de los partidos regulares aun tenia fuerzas para jugar un Social Touch con el equipo de NZ/Fidji (combinado Pacific-Atlantic Islands) contra Paris.
También nos reencontramos con algunos viejos amigos como François, que fué uno de los fundadores de Touch Barcelona.
Asistimos posteriormente a una demostración de Touch de nivel europeo con los partidos entre Gales, Inglaterra y Francia. Un triangular que se adjudicó Inglaterra.
Impresionante y espectacular el juego del Touch cuado es jugado por los que saben!
Por la noche la gran fiesta en la isla del Estadio de Toulouse terminó a altas horas de la noche.

This last weekend, 23rd and 24th of May, FIT Secretary General, Mr. Dennis Coffey, one of the fathers of this fantanstic game, came to Toulouse for the Level 1 Coach Course. Assistants were from Toulouse, Montpellier, Toulon, Grenoble, Valencia and two of us from Touch Barcelona. We all had great fun, very good learnings and practice in this hard world of coaching Touch.
The 2009 Euro Coach Project will continue until August, with more L1 courses, L2 courses other sessions and making presence at 2009 tournaments still to go: Touch in Paris, The Mainland Cup in Heidelberg and the Home Nations Cup in Glasgow.
